What is the EN 15940 standard?
EN 15940 is a European standard that presides over paraffinic diesels and biofuels within automotive engines. To adhere to EN 15940 fuels must meet chemical, physical and environmental properties. Fuels that come under EN 15940 specification include HVO and GTL (gas to liquid) and this standard is aimed at vehicles compatible with paraffinic diesel fuel.
